I've been thinking. We really need to start having more outdoor games here in the Albuquerque area. I played a game a while back sponsored by a church that was placed out on public land just outside of Rio Rancho. The terrain was perfect. I'm honestly thinking about taking my self and a shovel out there to start work on foxholes and such. If anyone is interested. We should really try to shoot for a game out by Rio Rancho. Time to bust out those dcu's lol.

If it is public land, make sure you can alter the terrain and have permission to play there from the city/cop/whatever.

Either way, I 2nd the idea of getting some outdoor games planned. After Op: Red accension in a week and a half, there is nothing else scheduled in NM, at least that I know of. With ABQA down we gotta get a regular fix elsewhere. That requires planning/organization from us. The ground is thawing and temps are rising here in Alb. If plans are made now for a game a few weeks out/a month/whatever, the weather should be perfect by game time. Even if not, the weather is damn near perfect now. Little patches of snow don't bother me, in fact I think it adds character/dimension to the field. Still, temps are warming fast & the snow will be gone real soon.

I have never organized a game but am willing to help any way I can. I live up in the east mountns, so I would be close, theoretically, to the field to help setup or plan. I've been kicking around ideas in my head on how to safely incorporate some land nav, either with GPS or simple compass. With directional/coordinates/objective info we could add an immersive & fun element to the game.

I would be willing to help out actually. I have been trying since beginning of feb to get game. I would help organize a game as well... I have an oakflats game in the workings as well... just PM me.
