Charity Event in order to Support the Fallen Soliders and Wounded Warriors Fund at the Intrepid Center. A Medical facility to help Military Woman and Men recover from Military And Combat related injuries.

MARJAH, Afghanistan: A month after losing control of its southern base in Marjah, the Taliban has begun to fight back, launching a campaign of assassination and intimidation to frighten people from supporting the U.S. and its NATO allies.

At least one apparent government sympathizer has been beheaded. There are rumors that others have been killed. Afghans in the town that U.S., Afghan and NATO troops captured in a three-week assault that began Feb. 13 awake to letters posted on their doors warning against helping the troops. Winning public support in this former Taliban stronghold in Helmand province 360 miles southwest of Kabul is considered essential to preventing insurgents from returning.

The Marjah operation will serve as a model for campaigns elsewhere, including one expected by summer to secure villages around Kandahar, the Taliban's spiritual birthplace and the largest city in the south.

Military commanders believe the Taliban campaign is achieving some success because of questions raised at town meetings: Do the U.S. forces want to shut down the mosques and ban prayer? Will they use lookout posts on their bases to ogle women? Are they going to take farmers' land away? There are no firm figures on how many Taliban fighters are left in Marjah. Marine, Army, Navy Special Forces and NATO military officials say they believe most of those still here are from the area and the foreign fighters have fled.

Can U.S. and NATO forces put a strangle hold on Taliban insurgents…This may overestimate the restraint of the Taliban.

Marjah's administrative chief, Abdula Azahir, said he and his advisers have decided they must show they have the upper hand in town by the end of the month.

But he acknowledged that the task is difficult. Homemade bombs still appear every night on roads traveled by the military. Gunfire can be heard many evenings in the center of town. Earlier this week, a Marine foot patrol tripped a bomb planted near the district center, seriously wounding several of them.

The right to camp at Tactical Paintball Harwood, TX on Friday and Saturday night

Mission Parameters:

Milsim style of play
Multiple insertion points
Multiple simultaneous timed missions presented as event progresses
Entire field in play, 122 acres
Special Vehicle Usages well be used and also Drone units (Live Helicopters too)
Loads of pyrotechnics (To limits of weather and State and local Laws)

Age:
17+ = no restrictions

16 = must have a legal document to verify age & sponsor/voucher of a vet who has been to 2 statewide events. *Please mention this in your notes in your registration

Legal Document= DL, State issued ID (Similar to DL), State issued birth certificate, or a Military Dependents ID Card.(each Vet can only vouch for 1 minor… if the minor is ejected from the game, the vouching Vet will be ejected too)

under 16 = parent must play with child.

If I can find away to get there I want to go. There about 4 1stSFAOC teams already registered from 2nd Grp. It would be great to have some 3rd Grp. teams there also.

Update Announcement for Operation Just Revenge
Tentative Schedule (Subject to change) 7/4/2010

Currently there are 125 Registered Participants for this event from all over the nation. We the Team and the Individuals at the Intrepid Center surely thank you for registering for this Charity event. Members of the team went out and began the second phase of preparations for this event.

There have been several AEGs, Pistols, Night Vision, Goggles, BBs, Tactical Gear,Full Uniform setups, And much more........

Friday Evening: Registration/Chrono Station will open at 3:30pm and Beginning at 4pm we will start the Sniper and CQB Challenge (3 to 4 Home team members against a Group of up to 8 as Contenders for prizes and Bragging rights)followed by We will be hosting Movies at the main Stage. And Dinner meal and Beverages provided at the Mess Dinning hall. In support of the Intrepid Center. Facility has asked we cut off drinking at midnight also Cold Camp Begins at midnight. Main Gate will be secured at Midnight except for Police Patrol (Unless your a scheduled late Arrival and Admin will open it)

Saturday: Registration will begin at 0630, Chrono at 0700 (Breakfast will begin at 0600). Safety Briefing will begin at 0900. If you do not have your weapon checked and signed in by this time. You will not be allowed to participate in the first evolution of the event (Unless arrangements have been made prior for late arrivals). Transportation out to starting points will begin by 0930-0945. Game On at Sound of Horn.

1st Evolution (Mission): 0945-1245
Lunch (Down Time): 1300-1430
2nd Evolution (Mission): 1500-1800
Dinner (Down Time): 1800-2000
Raffle:1930- 2015 (Main Stage) 1st Raffle Items
3rd Evolution (Mission Night Op): 2030- 2145
Cold Camp begins at 2400hrs
