I love online shopping as much as the next guy, but are there any good local retailers that can satisfy my need for immediate gratification? Where in ABQ or Santa Fe (I live between the 2) can one get good Airsoft guns and ammo? I am interested in a getting an JG M16 or AK and I want it NOW!

unfortunately you out of luck. the best you can do is go to wallmart or big5 for cheap ammo (if you are running a JG it shouldnt hurt the gun... i ran walmart ammo in my JG m16 for a long time) as for guns your out of luck. there used to be some guns for sale down at ABQA but i dont know if they are still selling... if you dont want wallmart ammo you can buy from ABQA too. there is rumor of one of the ANM members opening a store in ABQ so keep an eye out for that but until then your in the same boat as the rest of us.

Thanks. I figured as much. With so much open space and great places to scrimmage here, this is amazing to me. I guess finding Bival Max BBs locally is surely out of the question...

FYI: The bbs Big 5 sells by Airsplat are basically the same as Crossman bbs. Crossman bbs are almost 1/2 the price at Walmart. Sometimes Walmart puts them on sale for $10.00

Stay away from the 12gm. they are just to light weight even for pistol use.

I have yet had a problem with either brand, but the budget tends to lean toward Walmart. Just remember what ever bbs you decide to buy are seamless and you keep your barrel & mags. clean.
