I would definitely think that being a detective is the most exciting thing in the world. I got my favorite detective book series, The Adventure of Sherlock Holmes, as a gift of my 12th birthday, and I got fascinated with Mr. Holmes’s science of deduction. It’s like magic that he can deduce marvelous conclusions just out of tiny leads. So later on, I began to read more detective books and in recent years, I fell in love with the American TV series Elementary. When I imagine that I am a world renowned private detective and got invited to every crime scene in the world to assist CIA, or FBI, to solve tricky cases and put criminals behind bars, I just can’t resist the excitement of the fantasy.

I’d go for detective because everybody that’s familiar with the TV show CSI knows how cool it is to be a detective. You arrive at a crime scene, where everything is a mess, and your job is to use logic reasoning to piece together every evidence that you can find, then you go on to interview people that might provide something useful to the case, and there are a lot of high technologies that you can take advantage of for investigation. And all the work you do is make sure that bad people don’t escape punishment and justice is always done, I think that’s great work.

Well, I would like to choose the first option. For one thing, being an actress has being my cherished dream since childhood. Coz it offers us fantastic opportunities to experience different life styles;for ordinary people, each one of us can only live once and have one identity, but actors could experience lives way different from their own like in ancient times or on another planet, which is so exciting; second, being an actor, especially a famous one, means more people will get to know me, so I could have better chance to do good things, and convey my values and philosophy, especially to young people.

b. because it is good to be on his/her study record with the practical research experience. Gathering an experience like this is also helpful to his/her future when he/she is looking for a job. For the reunion with his/her family, thereare more chances in the next time. So he/she should grasp/seize this great opportunity.

用法：problem that he/she cannot choose/take/register/sign up for___=course because it is already full/filled up.

Preference: talking to the instructor

Reason: because it is the fastest way to solve the problem. Through the conversation with the instructor, the man/woman has a chance to convince the person with his/her strong will to study for the course and passion fordevotion/dedication to it. After that, the instructor may let him/her in.

Pro: she cannot choose econ she needs for graduation because it is filled up.

a 用法：She/He has a problem that she/he has an emergency on___. / she/he has trouble with___.

b. Preference: talking to the person who is in charge

c. Reason: because it is the most efficient way to solve the problem. By talking to the person who is in charge, the woman/man will have the direct chance to explain the situation and find the fastest way out of the trouble. After all,solving the problem is the first thing she/he needs to worry about.
